Did you know that our library is funded mostly through donations from the community? We live in an unincorporated village and do not get city taxes/funds to cover the library expense and operations. Out of the library's $30,000 yearly budget we receive roughly $7,000 in state grants to go towards our operations. The rest is raised by donations and raffles.
